This deep house track is taken from Lorenz Rhode’s latest 4-track EP, Belair, released exactly a year after his debut with Dirt Crew Recordings. ‘On Top’ is rhythmically exciting, giving off the funk influences that Rhode cites, with live instruments taking centre stage. This remix, created by Rhode’s friend and collaborator Strip Steve, turns the popular tune "into a deep Detroit flavoured House Jam with stabby beats and beautiful strings added". The whole EP is an exciting exploration of what deep house can do, but it’s this remix that really stands out- we can’t wait to see where the full version goes. -Dan Peeke
